Alberton is a small town of approx 2000 people located at the western tip of Prince Edward Island adjacent to the port of Northport. Alberton has a small downtown business core and many of the residents are employed in the local service sector. In addition fishing and agriculture play a large role in Alberton’s economy and provide employment. Alberton acts as a service centre for these industries. We have detailed on this page all Alberton homes for sale.

Alberton is home to Holland College’s western campus but high school students are bussed to schools centrally located to serve all of the western end of the island. Alberton has a small hospital with both acute and palliative care facilities. There are retirement and senior living choices within the city.

The town is close to Mill River Provincial Park, Bloomfield Provincial Park, and Jacques Cartier Provincial Park and is home to Alberton Court House, one of National Historic Site of Canada designated sites. There is a library, police station, community centre, exhibition grounds, curling club, and various parks and outdoor sport opportunities.
